"Frannie" was purchased in 2004 from Red Wooten of Ramona, OK. As "Suzy" began to slow down due to arthritis, "Frannie" had to step up and take her place. She started off running in Kansas High School Rodeos as a green 5 year old but quickly found her feet and started finishing in the top 15 every time against seasoned horses. As a 6 year old she competed in Oklahoma in super shows and jackpots where she was named the Sutton Summer Series 2D Champion and overall Champion, winning both a buckle and saddle along with over $700 in that series alone. She had the most consistant runs of any horse there. Over the next 3 years, Frannie contined to steal 1D titles in Jackpot Series' (75 + entries) and finished in the bottom of the 1D top of the 2D in the major shows (1500 + entries). She also ran college rodeo, but due to health issues, she did not perform as well as she should have. After a year of rest, Frannie is back on the barrel racing circuit and we have nothing but high hopes for this amazing mare. She absolutely loves her job. Riding for fun in the pasture is not for her. . .she enjoys being front and center in the arena. She is definitely 1D super show potential. She's a blast to run. . .very automatic but rides like a motocycle. With every turn, you get the "slingshot" effect, no matter how hard you hang on. This mare's got wheels and knows how to use them!
